WIC is an active promoter and supporter of breastfeeding in the community.

WIC is also an active participant in the Breastfeeding Promotion Coalition of Stanislaus County; a network of advocates promoting and supporting breastfeeding through education of families, our community, and health care providers. Members of the coalition provide trainings for any prenatal or postpartum staff in the community. The purpose is to increase the knowledge of the importance of promoting and supporting breastfeeding.

The Coalition meets on the third Thursday of every odd-calendar month at 7:45am for a breakfast meeting at Denny’s Diner at 1525 McHenry Ave in Modesto. All are welcome, no need to RSVP.

Remember babies were born to be breastfed!
