Halloween should be scary enough, but add smoking and it becomes a real
fright fest.
The Tobacco Education Program of the Stanislaus County Health Services
Agency is joining with Festival 10 Cinemas for the "Nico-teen Horror
Show."
The event will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the theatre, 3969 McHenry
Ave., Modesto.
Two of the screens will show a premovie slide show of the effects of
tobacco on the body, including black lungs and hairy tongues.
In addition, tow new tobacco quilts will be on display. The quilts are
made of donated tobacco ad T-shirts.
Information will be available, and a drawing will be conducted for anti-tobacco
T-shirts and other prizes.
