The event, sponsored by the Stanislaus County Health Services Agency, is open to runners and walkers. It will feature 5-kilometer and 10-kilometer races and a mile-long fun run. Registration will start at 9 a.m.; races will begin at 10 a.m.

Proceeds will go to Doctors Ought to Care, a group that supports health education in the county, with an emphasis on smoking, drug addiction, safety issues and domestic violence.

Registration for those 12 and older is $12 in advance or $14 the day of the event. Cost for children under 12 is $7. All participants will get T-shirts and will be entered in a prize drawing.
