On Monday from 3 to 4:30 a.m., the East Side Mosquito Abatement District will spray the first of four areas in Modesto. The accompanying map shows the area that will be sprayed early Monday morning.

There will be spraying in three other residential quadrants on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings.

Residents are asked to close windows and turn off window-unit air conditioners when spraying is taking place in the immediate area.

People who suffer from chemical sensitivities or feel spraying may aggravate a pre-existing health condition may consult their physician or local health department and take special measures to avoid exposure.
