The Modesto Police Department will have a child-safety seat checkpoint at 16th and I streets by the Stanislaus County Library this afternoon.

They will give tickets if children are not wearing seat belts or are not in safety restraint seats. There is also an option of having a safety seat checked to make sure it is being used correctly. The checkpoint will last from 2:15 to 3:30 p.m.
