Mary Ann Lee, interim manager of Stanislaus County's Health
Services Agency since January, has been named managing director
of the agency. Lee, 42, was among 60 candidates considered
for the position after a nationwide search. She joined the
HSA in 1999 and was associate director when former managing
director Margaret Szczepaniak left to become assistant director
of San Joaquin County's health agency. The salary range
for Lee's new position is $112,295 to $168,459 a year.
