Stanislaus County Chief Executive Officer Richard W. Robinson has announced the appointment of Mary Ann Lee as the Managing Director of the County Health Services Agency. Lee has been filling the role of Interim Managing Director for the Agency since January of this year.

“We conducted a nationwide search for this critical position and were very pleased to find our most qualified candidate was right here in our backyard,” stated Robinson. “We have the highest confidence that with Mary Ann’s leadership we will be able to move forward successfully in implementation our strategic plan for the Health Services Agency.”

Lee has worked at the Health Services Agency since June 1, 1999, and has been a strong leader in overseeing the areas of managed care, health coverage and quality services.

She previously served as Vice President of Contract Management for the Cleveland Health Network and as Sr. Director Provider Network Management for National Health Plans. Lee is a participant in the Blue Cross State Sponsored Programs Community Advisory Committee, the Stanworks Advisory Committee, the Children’s coordinating Council, and the emergency Medical Services Committee. She received her BS from California Polytech State University, San Luis Obispo and her MBA from Regis University in Colorado.
