Health officials today reported the second and third confirmed human cases of West Nile virus this year in Stanislaus County.
The cases include a 61-year-old male blood donor who did not have symptoms and a 40-year-old man with West Nile fever. The man with West Nile fever was not hospitalized.

So far this year, officials have confirmed 40 people who have been infected with the mosquito-borne virus statewide.
