Health officials today reported the second and third confirmed
human cases of West Nile virus this year in Stanislaus County.
The cases include a 61-year-old male blood donor who did
not have symptoms and a 40-year-old man with West Nile fever.
The man with West Nile fever was not hospitalized.
So far this year, officials have confirmed 40 people who
have been infected with the mosquito-borne virus statewide.
