  Dates set for flu shots
   
  The Stanislaus County Public Health Services Agency has announced the dates of its annual senior flu clinics.

Flu shots will be given locally from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. Oct. 23 at the Patterson Senior Center, 700 F St.; and in Newman from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. that same day at St. Joachim’s Catholic Church, 1121 Main St. Flu shots will also be offered in 11 locations in Modesto from now until the end of the month. A $20 administration fee will be charged per person, but no one who qualifies will be denied immunization because of inability to pay. Flu shots are recommended for anyone older than age 60. Younger adults with cardiovascular or chronic lung diseases or kidney disorders should also have a flu shot each year. Pneumonia shots are available only at the county public health office, 820 Scenic Drive, in Modesto.
