Numerous public and private flu shot clinics are planned in the next three months.

SUTTER HEALTH VISITING NURSES ASSOCIATION

Flu shots are available for adults and children, ages 9 to 12 (with a doctor's note) and 13 to 18 (with parental permission). Flu shots are $25; pneumonia shots are $35. There is no charge for flu and pneumonia vaccines with proof of Medicare Part B (red/white/blue card). Sutter VNA & Hospice can bill Medicare for your immunization.

Shots will be offered twice in Modesto at the Grocery Outlet, 832 Oakdale Road. Times are 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. today and Nov. 11.

STANISLAUS COUNTY HEALTH SERVICES AGENCY

One-day flu clinics for adults. Clinics in October are for people 60 and older, pregnant women, any adults with chronic medical conditions and those who care for high-risk people. In November, healthy adults may attend a clinic or go to the immunization center at 820 Scenic Drive, Modesto, Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; Friday, 8 to 11 a.m., 1 to 3 p.m.

Cost: $20. Fee may be waived based on financial need. Medicare accepted. Pneumonia shots are available at 820 Scenic Drive.

Flu shots for children 6 months to 18 years at the Health Services Agency, 820 Scenic Drive, Modesto. Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; Friday, 8 to 11a.m., 1 to 3 p.m.

WAL-MART STORES

Flu shots are available from 11a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 28-29 at Wal-Mart stores in the region. Recipients must be 9 years of age or older. Cost is $25 per vaccination. The shots are available at:
