Modesto Bee Letters to the Editor

A few days ago, I was in the Health Services Agency's Urgent Care clinic with my sick 9-month-old son. A bright yellow sign told the new hours of the Urgent Care -- 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Four hours a day, really? For urgent care. Then I was informed that the county contributed $15 million to the Gallo Center for the Arts. Can someone please tell me where is the logic in this? I can assure you that the lines at the Urgent Care will be much longer than those at the Gallo Center. Our children will have to wait six to seven hours in the emergency room to be seen, possibly becoming more afflicted with whatever illness or injury that happened upon them, but hey, at least the board members that wanted the hours changed get to enjoy some Chinese dancing drummers.
