Recent news articles have noted the financial challenges facing Stanislaus County Health Services Agency. The agency is supported by a separate nonprofit HSA Foundation, which works closely with the agency to find community and grant funding to help cut its deficit. The agency continues to serve the underinsured and uninsured in Stanislaus County. Our funding efforts also benefit the broader community.

One of the HSA Foundation's priorities is to continue to fund the Family Medicine Residency Program. There is an ever- increasing need for doctors in our community. The HSA recruits and trains physicians to become family practice specialists. Twenty-seven physicians are providing care throughout the county clinic system.
