  Salida Gains New Health Services
   
 
   
  The town of Salida has recently gained new and much needed health services.

On Wednesday, December 16, the WIC (Women, Infants & Children) and Women's Health programs will be holding an open house at their new offices at 4525 Broadway, Suite G in Salida from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.

The open house is an opportunity for the community to meet the staff, tour the facilities and find out more about the health services offered to the Salida community.

WIC is a nutrition education program that provides supplemental foods which good health for pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum women, infants and children up to age five. Criteria for program eligibility include: must be pregnant, breastfeeding or have a baby less that 6 months old; infants and children up to five years old; live in Stanislaus County; meet certain income guidelines. The Women' Health program provides family planning, breast examination and reproductive health services.

Refreshments will be served and all people are welcome to attend.
