  HSA Foundation Award Scholarships

The Stanislaus County Health Services Agency Foundation recently awarded five scholarships to local high school students who were recognized for superior academic achievement as well as contribution to their community.

The winner of the $1000 Teddie Hartman Scholarship was Kia Lee, a graduating senior from Downey High School. Kia not only has outstanding scholastic achievement, but also volunteers in her school, her church and in the community. She was recently featured on KCRA news as an outstanding community volunteer.

The four winners of the HSA High School Scholarships were Christopher Chaffee from Modesto High School; Zachary Pacheco and James Pinto from Oakdale High School; and Neha Shah from Downey High School. Each recipient receives a $1000 tuition stipend to be applied toward their college education.

Scholarships for graduating high school students are awarded annually by the Foundation.
