| The
Stanislaus County Health Services Agency Volunteers recently elected their
new slate of officers for the 1999/2000 fiscal year. The officers will be
installed at their annual installation luncheon on June 28 at 12 p.m. in
the Main Conference Room of the Health Services Agency at 830 Scenic Drive
in Modesto. Their terms will take effect from July 1, 1999 until June 30,
2000.
New officers are as follows:
The incoming President is Phillis Berry who
has been an HSA Volunteer since 1990. Prior to her Presidency, Phillis
served one year as Treasurer and one year as President-Elect. She volunteers
for the managed care department two days each week.
Dottie Stevens is the President-Elect and
has been an HSA Volunteer since 1965. Dottie has previously served as
an officer with the Volunteers with three years as a past President. Dottie
serves in the Family Practice Center and Giftshop.
Jo Lochry is the Recording Secretary and has
been an HSA Volunteer since 1992. Previous to the role as Recording Secretary,
Jo has served for one year as President-Elect and two years as President.
Jo volunteers in the G.I. Lab one day each week.
Don Mende is the Treasurer and has been an
HSA Volunteer since 1984, having previously served three years as Treasurer.
Louise Tourtlotte is the Corresponding Secretary.
The HSA Volunteers work and provide numerous support services to the
HSA including: gift shop; information desk; physician and nursing staff
assistance; transporting patients on the HSA medical campus and blood
bank donations.
The Volunteers provide over 20,000 hours of service time and $20,000
of financial support on an annual basis for the HSA.
