Ann Lee has her eye on building profitability for the Stanislaus County
Health Services Agency (HSA).
Lee joins the agency having been most recently the Vice President of
Contract Management for the prestigious Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Her
roots are in the central valley, having been raised Modesto and having
previously been the Senior Director of Provider Systems for National Health
Plans.
"The mission of the HSA was one of the biggest reasons I came on
board," Lee recently stated. "I was aware of the difficult and
important work the agency has been doing over the years in helping to
care for patients regardless of their financial status."
Lee joins the HSA as part of their continued transition from an inpatient
hospital-based provider, to a provider of outpatient services. The HSA
now offers physician offices in nine locations throughout Stanislaus County
and features an urgent care center on Scenic Drive in Modesto, as well
as rehabilitation and work injury treatment services.
"One of my biggest challenges will be to continue growing profitability
in the managed care department," she said. "I feel a tremendous
responsibility to help improve our financial condition to continue making
excellent care possible for our patients."
As Director of Managed Care, Lee has been tasked with continuing to move
the already profitable managed care division of the health agency into
even greener pastures.
Lee will be responsible for the development of insurance contracting
agreements and partnership strategies for the HSA. The agency currently
has contract agreements with National Health Plans, Kaiser Permanente,
Blue Cross, PacifiCare, Blue Shield as well as numerous additional health
plans.
The Health Services Agency is a county-operated network of outpatient
and physician services throughout Stanislaus County seeing over 400,000
patients each year.
