County, CA – Cle Moore, Director of Community Health Services
for the Stanislaus County Health Services Agency, has been named to the
Advisory Committee of the Partnership for the
Public's Health program.
The Advisory Committee is part of a five-year collaboration plan developed
between the California Endowment and the Public Health Institute. The
role of the collaborative partnership is to reshape public health systems,
infrastructure and processes in a way that is more responsive to the health
priorities of local communities. One of the main goals is to align the
missions and individual strengths of both organizations to promote and
improve the health of Californians.
The committee will provide advice on the development, implementation
and assessment of this high profile $37 million initiative. The initiative
seeks to use the following strategies: 1) grants to communities to develop
and implement systems improvement and civic engagement strategies locally;
2) statewide policy development linking community priorities to state
policy and funding changes, and; 3) research and dissemination.
Community grantees will be supported through comprehensive technical
assistance and other supportive resources.
