COUNTY – A little guidance and some practical life help. This
philosophy is what has charged fifteen area young women to make it through
a 10-month program designed to help them make solid life decisions and to
create a positive future.
There will be a graduation ceremony on January 20, from 6:00 p.m. to
10:00 p.m. for the youth development program. The festivities will be
held at the Vintage Gardens at 4342 Dale Road in Modesto.
The youth, ages 14 – 18, will go through a graduation ceremony
as they are dressed in prom and party dresses. They will enjoy dinner
and dancing to a D.J. in addition to the formal graduation ceremony.
The youth development program has been a pilot program conducted jointly
by The R.E.A.L. Project, the McHenry Medical Office, the Women’s
Auxiliary and the Teen Life Challenge Project. McHenry Medical Office
and The R.E.A.L. Project are divisions of the Stanislaus County Health
Services Agency.
The Stanislaus County Health Services Agency (HSA) is an outpatient medical
system with 9 medical offices located throughout Stanislaus County. The
HSA operates the Public Health Department, an Urgent Care Center and multiple
programs serving over 400,000 patients and clients each year in Stanislaus
County. The HSA also is in local partnerships for the MOMobile project
and the Stanislaus Family Practice Residency Program. The HSA has extensive
