COUNTY – The Stanislaus County Health Services Agency is pleased
to announce upcoming workshops designed to enhance communication between
mothers and daughters.
The workshops titled "Heart to Heart," are taking place on
Tuesday, February 13 at the McHenry Medical Office at 2501 McHenry Avenue,
Suite E and Thursday, February 15 at the King Kennedy Center in Modesto.
Both workshops will be from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. with dinner provided.
The workshops are designed for young women between 13 – 17 years
of age and the adult women in their lives. Workshop topics will include:
communication building strategies; how to discuss sensitive subjects;
encouraging abstinence; and sexually transmitted diseases.
The workshop and dinner are free, but attendees must register by calling
(209) 558-5308 before February 9.
The Stanislaus County Health Services Agency (HSA) is an outpatient medical
system with 9 medical offices located throughout Stanislaus County. The
HSA operates the Public Health Department, an Urgent Care Center and multiple
programs serving over 400,000 patients and clients each year in Stanislaus
