| The
Stanislaus County Health Services Agency and the Stanislaus County Sheriff's
Department are beginning a program that will bring free medical services
to an underserved area of Modesto.
The C.A.R.E. 4 Kids program will occur at the Del Rio Mobile Home Park
on Thursday, May 31 between 9 a.m. and 12 noon. Free services provided
will include: immunizations for children, medical insurance sign ups;
and testing for HIV and sexually transmitted diseases. Public Health nurses
will be on location to provide medical care for local residents.
This program is a pilot program between the local Sheriff's Department
and the Health Services Agency.
The Stanislaus County Health Services Agency (HSA) is an outpatient medical
system with 9 medical offices located throughout Stanislaus County. The
HSA operates the Public Health Department, an Urgent Care Center and multiple
programs serving over 400,000 patients and clients each year in Stanislaus
County. The HSA also is in local partnerships for the MOMobile project
and the Stanislaus Family Practice Residency Program. The HSA has extensive
