Stanislaus
County – The Stanislaus County Board of Supervisors is scheduled to
conduct a public hearing to consider approval of the Health Services Agency
facility plan, including the relocation of Family Practice and Family Medicine
Residency Programs, High-Risk Obstetrics and Gynecology services, and alternatives
for the relocation of Urgent Care, Specialty and Pediatrics clinics.
HSA clinics currently operate in seven (7) medical office locations across
the County, including offices in Ceres, Hughson and Turlock, and four
(4) locations in Modesto. The clinic facility plan recommends reducing
the number of locations from seven (7) to six (6). The reduced number
of locations is expected to result in overall service efficiencies that
cannot be achieved in the current clinic facility configuration. At this
time, the clinics located in Ceres, Hughson and Turlock will not be impacted
by the transition plan.
The Board will consider whether the McHenry Medical Office in Modesto
and the Paradise Medical Office in West Modesto will undergo remodeling
to make them more efficient and expand their ability to house clinic services.
There are two (2) alternatives for the sixth clinic location: retaining
services at the existing facilities on Scenic Drive or at the Medical
Arts Building in Modesto.
The Board will also consider the authorization of lease amendments for
the proposed remodeling of the Paradise and McHenry Medical Offices, and
new lease agreements for the Women, Infant and Children Program, the Children
and Families Commission, the Community Services Agency and Library services
which are currently located at the Paradise Medical Office site. The relocation
of these services will make way for the remodeling to accommodate the
expansion of clinical services at the Paradise location.
This meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, December 6, 2005 at 9:25 a.m.
in the Stanislaus County Board of Supervisor chambers located at 1010
Tenth Street.
